New project - Federated eTranslation TermBank Network
The Federated eTranslation TermBank Network project kicked off on 8 July 2020. Coordinated by Tilde in Riga, the project partners are from eight different European countries: The University of Copenhagen, the Institute of the Estonian Language in Tallinn, the "Jožef Stefan" Institute in Ljubljana, The International Network for Terminology TermNet in Vienna, The Institute for Language and Folklore in Uppsala, The Institute of Lithuanian Language in Vilnius, The Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies, The Swedish Institute for Standards in Stockholm and the Culture Information Systems Centre in Riga.
The project aims at developing a Federated eTranslation TermBank Network to allow organizations and institutions in EU Member States to locally deploy individual eTranslation TermBank federated nodes. The federated nodes will be linked to the central federated node (the eTranslation TermBank) and regularly synchronize terminology changes. The open Terminology Management Toolkit will be made available to the EU member states and their administrations for deployment of their local terminological platforms and for the use of selected cloud solutions.
